Method:
1_ Prepare your hard drive:
Using fat 32 format, create a single partition as FAT 32. If you are unable to obtain a partition called "healthy". Try doing the same operation using the software swiss knife . This operation will not be detailed, and may be another tutorial (if you made the request).
_
2_ Install games / apps on your USB hard drive (the method is the same for the X360 disk, you must perform data transfer via FTP):
Open your freshly formatted hard drive, then copy the entire folder "Freestyle Menu" at the root of your HDD.
Little detail of its contents:
_ The file "freestyle" contains all files necessary to operate the menu.
_ The file "Games" contains your Xbox360 games. A game is already present in this folder.
_ The file "Kinect" contains your Kinect. A game is already present in this folder (only if you use the RTU).
_ The file "Content/00000000000000000 /" contains the Xbox Live Arcade games.
_ The "Applications" folder contains all sorts of programs made by self-taught developers (both applications are already present).
_ The file "Xbox1" Contains the games for the first xbox. Homebrew also. For this you must install a hacked xbox emulator, see this tutorial .
_ The file "Emulators" in turn contains your emulators to find the happiness of hours spent on your old machine (megadrive and master system included).
For a 360 game, we just have to rip your iso by following this tutorial and copy the extracted content in the folder GAMES (eg: usb: \ GAMES \ folder of the game \ default.exe (and remains)). It's the same for other folders.
_
3_ Copy a game disc from the 360.
_ Start your run box and dash Freestyle
_ Insert your game rip in 360
_ Select the "extract dvd"
_ A window opens, enter the name of the game, confirm.
_ Wait. A message will warn the end of the copy.
_ You can find your new game in the category "Play Xbox 360".
NB: If you cancel the copy along the way, already copied the files are not deleted. It will therefore delete them via the file manager.
_
4_ Start the Xbox Dashboard directly Freestyle: Dashlaunch see the tutorial.
The RTU package contains a file "launch.ini" preconfigured, simply install Dashlaunch and copy the contents of folder "menu freestyle" at the root of your usb hdd, and the console will do the rest.
_
5. Set the paths to your games and others.
The pack RTU is already pre-configured (only for USB drive!), But if you take the desire to change these settings, here are the steps to follow:
_ Start freestyle dashboard, open the "Settings", then "content settings". Then select "manage game path."
_ On this new window, press "Y" to add a path:
_ Next, select the type of media you want to index, made the same choice in the retail than in the Devkit. Prefer a "scan depth 'of 1 (except for XBLA) which will make even faster scanning.
Info: the automatic choice to leave the software to sort your hard drive ... sometimes mistakes happen, I do not recommend this setting.
_ Learn then the path type of media you want to index for this, select the "path" at the top of the window. Browse your hard drive, then open the folder containing the list of your app, and press "Y" to select the folder.
_You Automatically return to the previous window. Press the "X" to confirm your actions.
_ Now press the right analog stick, and find that SDF indexes the contents of the file, wait until the scan before you move on (this is important, the software is unstable during this phase). Console will scan automatically on every boot, which keeps a list of your games to date automatically.
So just to repeat the manip 'for each type of category you want to index.
6. Use the file manager
Under "Utilities", open the "file manager":
This part of the software is done in a rather clear, as you can see the window caption is self explanatory. The only thing we have to understand what is the meaning of the copy:
If you hold "button" RB "two small arrows at the bottom of the screen, indicating that we will copy from the left frame to the target to be the right frame. In our example we will copy the folder "xelllaunch" stored on the USB drive to the folder "Content" internal hard drive of the console. LB button allows for a copy in the opposite direction from right to left.
7. Get your game cover art
The recovery of jackets is done via the console, must obviously connect it on the net.
_ Begin by following this tutorial , you guarantee not to ban your JTAG.
_ Then connect your console to your modem. Do not enter any parameters on the network or modem, or on the 360:
_ Start freestyle dashboard, open the "Settings", then "content settings". In the "local marketplace" select your country and validate your choice by pressing the "set local marketplace."
_ Then press the right stick. You notice at the bottom of the screen that the console scan your folder and retrieved your covers on the net.
_ When the status changes to "idle" is that it's over.
Note: To delete the database built by the index, just to "clear data" tab in "General settings".
NB2: To force the update of jacquettes of one of your game, press Y on it and select "refresh artwork":

Indispensable if you only use the hard drive of your xbox, a little less if you're usb, freestyle dashboard is equipped with an FTP server and a SAMBA allowing you to access the file stored on your Xbox and make transfer between the box and the PC using an ethernet cable (and now the wifi for slim).
_ Get an ftp transfer software such filezilla.
_ Find the ip address of your xbox (leave the network setting of your console on automatic). To do this, run SDF, and made a click on the right analog stick. you will find the ip in the lower left of your screen. in my case 192.168.1.77 (ideally, I configure my router so that it allocates all the time the same ip to my console).
_ Start your Filezilla, then open a connection:
Fill in the connection details, then click "Quick Connect"

_ After that, you can see in the upper part that you are authenticated on your xbox. The left tree is the software of your files on your computer, the right is the file tree of the xbox. records "game" (this is not the same as on your hdd) and "flash" is a set of files for the proper functioning of the console and FSD, do not touch it!
9. The updates of games
_Ouvrez Your list of games xbox360 or your XBLA, place the cursor on the game you want to update and press the "Y". Select "Manage Title Update"

_ Wait for the download, and see your new TU
Info: FSD download the TU if any more came out, you can choose which will be activated. By default, the most recent is selected. You may prefer another TU to join a party under xlink with a particular config (for example).

RC 1.1 SDF has an http server that allows you to reconfigure your pc and then to fsd, to access, enter your IP address in the address bar of your browser, like: http://votre.adresse.ip
12. _ Optional: Themes
In addition to those already present in this pack RTU, you will find on the site spiffy360.com , a bunch of themes for FSD. Just copy the skin folder "skins" of FSD, then enable the options of the dash. You must restart the dash for the changes to take effect. Finally I just found: in the folder fsdata, by editing content.xml, the value of boxart was 0.
I changed boxart = 1 and everything works! ditto for icon = 1.
Under FSDIndexer, the boxes "Icon" and "Box Art" controlling values are grayed out and disabled.
Once the changes made to the file, the box is checked but grayed out always ..
By cons, the "sscount = 0" refers to screenshoot to show? because I have only one screenshoot that appears by going into the details of the game even by changing the value.
